This saw is a cheap POS with a plastic handle. However, if you check out Paul Sellers sharpening vids you can get surprising results from this thing for very little $$$. Bearing in mind that I’ve never used a proper rip saw.

I’m not 100% sure this is the one, the description seems a little off. Just look for the the same price range and make sure it says sharpenable on the package.

I find this method pretty good for ripping boards.

Any saw that is sharpenable  is a deal. From my vantage point it looks like the ripping technique works!
