Hmm..
Do not Ridgid, but had similar issue:
Does the Ridgid 4331 planer use special double sided blades?
......
I think yes looking at parts diagrams?
......
Sorry to share, but it appears to be designed to use disposable blades that auto align in cutter head.
There is no adjustment mechanism inside cutter head to allow for adjusting the height of exposed knife edge after sharpening. Carbide knifes are way too expensive to be ‘one time use’, and are intended to be sharpened many times. Highly doubt you will every find carbide blade for that planer.

I have Delta 22-580 planer that also uses double side ‘disposable’ blades, and carbide version are not available for it either.

Best Luck.

Carbide knives (one sided) are made by Infinity to replace the disposable knives for the DeWalt 734 and 735. I had an old Ryobi 13”planer and had looked without success for carbide replacements.

Yes it appears no one makes a carbide version for that model.

Ask Infinity Tools and see what’s possible. Can’t hurt to ask since they do make a good selection of carbide knives.

Have your say...
