Topic tags/keywords: buddy activity

I wish i could edit Recent buddies activity. I don’t want to delete them from my buddies list. i just would like to edit who’s activity i would like to see. Some of them post so often there is no room for others activity. Does anyone else notice this?

I post too much I know!
And I’m on your buddy list….
Delete me – I’m guilty, and really think it’s fine to be deleted also.
But yes I think also the buddy system don’t really work, I have been thinking to delete all and start over.
Best thoughts,

Mafe, Just don’t block me!! Please. I have a very fragile ego. lol

Billp, To sooth any feelings, you might send a PM to whoever you need to block and explain the situation to them. But I agree that it would be most convenient to have two categories for the buddies and when one gets too active, just be able to shift them over with out them knowing and thereby avoid hard feelings. I know I really don’t want to lose any of my Buddy’s as I consider it an honor to be associated with them. So many have been my mentors and I would not be at my present skill level with out them.

Rand I completely agree.
That we should have a watch and a buddy.
I just deleted a bunch of buddies, people I never heard from or saw here…
Rand I will never blog you! I love you man!
I dont think I ever blocked anyone in my time here… Am I too nice?
Best thoughts,
Mads

Mafe, was I deleted? How do I know? Will you tell me? Was I ever on the list?

Ok, not that worried… :)

All you have to do is go to the topic (the post) ,that is overwhelming, and click unwatch, you won’t see anything more about the topic unless you go directly to it.

I think it must be dyslexia ! but when my eyes flash on this ( lilredweldingrod )
My brain reads this ( dillweed ) :) Really !

Bubinga, Dillweed? My ex wife had the same problem. So she got rid of me. lol I really don’t care what you call me as long as it’s not late for supper. But I do hope you enjoy my rantings on LJ as I enjoy your comments.

Mafe, I would not call any of your blogs “overwhelming”. I think the proper term would be prolific, but always educational. I don’t think anyone does not enjoy your tutorials. I always read your blogs, but I may not comment on every one.The last few months i have missed alot of time on LJs due to sympathy pains for patron. lol We have both had back issues, and I’m sure his were much worse than mine.

With as many members as we now have, it is impossible to keep up with all of them. And some times I find my self overwhelmed due to the numbers of Buddy’s. It is all I can do to try to keep up with the postings of just the Buddy’s and if I am getting shop time, even they suffer as for me supporting their blogs and projects.

When I read blogs or check out projects, I try to say something original and nice and maybe humorous. If I can’t think of the right thing to say, I will go away and come back later and try again. I don’t care to just say, “Atta boy” and call it good. I want my Buddy to know I thought about what he/she has posted and that my comment shows that I actually read what they said and what other commentor’s have said. I feel anything less is short changing a friend.

We just have to figure out a balancing act, I guess. Thanx for enduring my ranting. My best to all.

edit: The most import thing is to show love and support in all we do here on LJ’s and have fun.

Back to Billp’s original quandry – (if no one minds)

A feature that could be added would be to sign up to what type of posts get notifications.

For instance, one could get notifications for projects, blogs, reviews, bideo or forum posts from a buddy.

Or one could choose to only get notifications for projects and blogs.

Just add a check off menu to the buddy list – (It’s just a few lines of code … ;)
