I am new to the woodworking hobby but have a favorite handsaw that needs a new handle. any suggestions or tips on how to make one would be wonderful thanks

Check out PaulSellers (LJ) blog archive. He makes some of the most beautiful handles I’ve ever seen. As long as you have wood, a drill, a scroll/coping/bandsaw, and some shaping tools (rasp, etc.), you should be good to go. Please post it when you’re done!

In that site you can get some other different handles as well

Chuck,

If you still have the handle-or most of it-trace it onto a piece of maple, cut it out, drill, shape finish, and you’re done. Made it SOUND easy anyway. Welcome to LJ’s.
