Topic tags/keywords: question

I have a Makita 12V driver/drill that uses NiMH batteries. 12V NiCd batteries are available for that same D/D. My question: Can I use the same charger that came with the NiMH batteries to charge NiCd batteries?

Check your charger – it should say… My DC1414 charger can do both NiMH and NiCD from 7.2 to 14.4v, and I believe the newer ones (DC1822??) can do the same but up to 18v. LiIon batteries won’t work in them though IIRC.

Cheers,
Brad
