Topic tags/keywords: arts and crafts question design

Does anyone, especially our mates down under, have experience designing and/or building a leadlight kitchen cabinet? I fell in love with them whil living in the NT and would like to build a replica piece since the cost of shipping one over here would be prohibitive.

Thanks!

Would you have a picture of what your are describing here? It sounds like an interesting project.

Here’s kind of what I’m thinking:

Now, that is beautiful! It would be a fun build.
I sure hope you get some responses, as I, for one, would love to follow your building of the piece.

Not that I can do it as easily as this souinds but it looks like it is several panel doors with two of the panels being leaded glass. It should be ‘easy’ to make the wooden parts, making the glass bits a shade more tricky. Kowlwdwrkr had a very good blog about making stained glass pieces, it may be worth searching that up.
