Topic tags/keywords: spalted maple bowl turning pens

I recently had to terminate the existance of a large silver maple tree in our back yard and would like to see the remains used by talented LumberJocks to create beautiful works of art.
I’m the Milwaukee, WI area and have many large and small pieces of this spalted maple that I would like to see used instead of burned.

Too bad all the wood is on the other side of the country from me….someone will definitely find a good use for that…..it has some beatiful spalt lines already….and, from the pic, I don’t see any really bad punk spots.
