I saw this tool on the New Yankee Workshop (NYW) site. According to the tool’s blurb, His Normness no uses a miter saw. Instead he uses this tool on his table saw. I’m wondering if anyone has seen or used one of these. If so, what’re your thoughts on it? How do you all think it might compare to a Jessem, a Kreg, or an Incra? Here’s a link to the NYW page that describes the tool. Thanks in advance for the help.

I have the Osborne Miter Gauge, and I really like it. It’s easy to setup and dead-on accurate. I like the long fence and the build-in stop. I haven’t used the other miter gauges so I can’t comment on those. I will say I’m moving away from the miter gauge and using shop made sleds for most of my cuts.

I;ve had an EB-3 for ages. It is a great tool, well worth the money.
reliable and accurate – what more can I say?

He has certainly used a miter saw on the show in the past. He has a 12 inch Delta with a double laser mounted in a miter saw station. I’ll bet it still gets used.

I can believe that he would use the Osbourne for crosscuts for fine woodworking; however, it is far more accurate and safe to have a dedicated miter saw station to knock a bunch of big sticks down to size, in the same way a panel saw or a guided circular saw is a much safer and faster way to knock sheets down to size.

I have a Jessem too Wayne… and I really like it.

I have to agree with Woodspar that I use my miter saw to make rough cuts. Saves wear and tear on the more expensive blades I use on my table saw also.
