Will I run into any problems building and finishing a small box made of cedar for a customer ?? She is requesting it built of cedar – any suggestions as to glue and finish – the majority of my boxes have been built of oak using tight bond 2 for glue and watco danish oil for finish – finger joints, mitre joints are what I usually use – any lumberjocks want to give me suggestions ?

Dang…. No problems. Softer wood, remember that when you clamp. Same glue, same joints….etc. Same finish. You can see mine in my projects page. Probably lots of others on here too
