Topic tags/keywords: question sharpening planer jointer

I’ve found a Makita used for sale at a great price. The problem is it only comes´╗┐ with the chisel blade holder. I’ve scoured the web and can’t find where I might get the full-sized blade holder for planer/jointer knives (as shown in picture below). Any suggestions?

Also, I’m new to this site and appreciate all the notes of welcome I’ve received from members. It truly made me feel welcome.

Does the jointer blade holder include the uprights?

The tool is still being made. You should be able to order a replacement
but it’s probably going to be around a hundred bucks.

That’s exactly what I was looking for, brianlee! This tells me that the price for the sharpener without the necessary blade holder wasn’t such a bargain after all. ;)

Thanks all for your responses.
