I took today off from work to get some stuff done around the house. Just a bit ago this showed up, I didn’t order it but my B-day is coming up. I am pretty postive about what is in it based on my requests (Veritas Bevel up jointer, jack, smoother, and jointer fence), but you have any idea how hard it is not to open the big brown box and at least look at the real boxes. Ugg, have 19 more day till the B-day.

maybe permission to open
from the caring one that ordered it

your joy may be theirs too
or maybe they would like you
to get on their project sooner

HAPPY ‘BIRTHDAY SOON !

Be very careful when moving the box around. The top flaps can easily be hooked on some protrusion, causing the top to be ripped clean off (or at least bust the tape).

Just sayin’ ...

Don’t do it!!! If my wife had ordered it and I opened it without her there. Well, I don’t even want to think about how pi$$ed off she would be. But, if I bothered her about it ALOT, she would give in (actually just get sick of listening to me whine about it) and tell me to open it early. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

Well, she has open all of her presents early. But then again that is because I get excited about giving it to her. I just can’t seem to wait either way.

I have already rough cut the wood for my sawbench too, now I need these planes to finish it. I mean I have a power planner and jointer. But I don’t think they work for saw benches.

I just gave my daughter one of her presents 15 days early. My logic was that it was better for the item (a kindle) to get used than sit in a closet for the next two weeks and it sounds like you have work to do wiith the planes.

Hurry out and get a nice bouquet of flowers and have them in a nice vase sitting next to the box. That’ll do it.

Don’t open the box. It’s a trap…

Well, got to see the boxes but have to wait to open them. Well, got to look at one of the blades, man that’s a thick blade.

You had better take about 19 days off. You won’t be able to do your job thinking about that box just setting there all day by it self. You need to be there to make sure nothing happens to it.

Make sure you order her next present about 2 weeks early and don’t let her open it. Payback time.
