I made an error in my on-line name. I would like to change that name but when I click on the name change request button it states I have no associated email program.

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium with IE. Could some one step me through the process of setting this process up so I can request a name change?

Thanks for your assistance.

As a possible workaround go to “edit my profile” and enter whatever you want your name displayed as in the “real name” box, then right below that choose the option to display your real name.

Also, after further investigation, I can tall you that clicking on “name change request” just opens an email addressed to

So just email your request to that address.

Your problem is that your computer doesn’t know which program to use to send email when you click on an email link in Internet Explorer.

First, determine which program you use to send and receive email. It’s probably Outlook Express or perhaps Outlook but you need to know which one it is.

Then, open Internet Explorer and go to the Internet Options selection on the Tools menu. On the Programs tab of the Internet Options dialog, select the program that is used for email. Close the Internet Options dialog, close Internet Explorer and restart it. You should then be able to click on the name change request button and it should open your email program to send an email to In that email, state your current info and ask them to change your name to the one you want…

Good Luck!
