Just acquired this late model drum sander and for the life of me, cannot locate a manual for this model - the closest I could find is the Jet 22-44 Pro Model 638003. It's not like I need to rebuild it or anything, but like any older equipment, I'd like to have the original documents in order to support the occasional replacement part.
Any chance anyone has a copy they can scan and email to me? Or maybe post a link where they found a copy online?
I believe both are interchangable. I'm pretty sure Jet bought out Perfomax as they have the exact same parts list for my 16-32. You should be able to use the Jet manual without any issues and get parts from Jet or other replacement sites in the future.
Thanks Rayne - I ended up spamming all Craigslist posts nation-wide and had one guy send me a PDF version for my model! So if anyone else out there wants a copy - ping me and I'd be happy to share (I couldn't find a way to add an attachment to this thread.)
Tim - my wife just purchased for me as an anniversary gift the Performax 22-44 Model #638002 drum sander and I was looking for a manual when I came across your post. Just wondering if you don't mind emailing me a .pdf copy of the manual you found. I would have just sent you pm, but since I just signed up I can't. I have to post 5 times before I am allowed to pm anyone. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. - Rich
Hi Rich - I, too get the "you cannot send messages until you've posted 5x" - shoot me a note to my personal email and I'll shoot you a copy: sandogone at yahoo dot com.
Hey Tim, I know it's been a few years since your post. Do you still have that manual? I can't find mine and I need to change the belt. The little blocks that track the belt fell out and for the life of me I can't figure where they go. Any help greatly be appreciated .
Hi Tim, I realize it's been more than 3 years since you posted you had this manual. But, do you still have it? I just got this used machine, and am trying to figure out how to make it work! Thanks.
Bill
Thanks Steve, but the machine I have is older, with the motor mounted down below. I called JPW, and they sent me a pdf of the one for my machine (model 638G01). In case others want to find it, their # is 1 800 274-6846. Bill.
