Hi Everyone! So are their any good uses for having arbor press around?
I might pick on up for a good price to do my bearings and rebuilds correct.

I have a line on a nice Dake Arbor no. 1 for the right price (3ton)

They are nice to have, but not real useful for most bearings due to the limited throat size. They are great for riveting, punching and pressing grommets and similar stuff though.

If you were thinking about getting one for bearings, save your cash. There are way too many ways to install bearings without a press. If you are itching on spending some money, get a good bearing splitter set or a few pullers.

Cheers,
Brad

My Father had one for 30 yrs, used it once. Bearing pullers and splitters would be much better money spent and give you a wider range of work you could do.
