I purchased a Cal Hawk jointer. It was really a deal and if there are repairs to be made or a little alteration to make it better I can usually handle that. The cover for the cutters is missing. I am sure that I can make one if necessary but was wondering if anyone knew if there are parts available for this machine or if a cover for a different machine would fit? It is a 6” jointer. Did not if something from Harbor Freight would work.

Those machines are pretty much all on a similar pattern – copied off
Delta or something. Guards for 6” jointers of a similar looking pattern
will probably fit. There’s not a whole lot of variance after the 1960s
or so when the Delta/Powermatic jointer patterns became fairly
standard in N. America.
