I just got a notification on Facebook that it would have been our old friend Bob’s birthday today. I’m sure there are lots of us who will take a moment to remember his jovial friendship and participation on lumberjocks.
I miss him.
Happy birthday Bob.

I haven’t been on in a while and this is the first I’ve heard of his passing.
He was a great guy and a strong contributor.
I’ll miss his wit and wisdom.
Happy Birthday Grizz.

I remember his work and was sad to hear of his passing. His woodworking had a very distinct style, I could always tell immediately by the photo before I looked at the name. I hope my work is remembered after I’m gone someday, too.

A very goodhearted man and woodworking brother gone but far from forgotten.

My last memory of him will stay with me and remind me to stop and appreciate those around me. We used to Skype and Bob had Skyped me in the morning on Saturday, had to cut him short as I had clients to see and 44 miles to drive. When I saw he had passed I really thought he was playing “April fools.” I was stunned that he’d passed away! He was hopeful that an implant would reduce the pain so he’d get back into the shop. I used to call him “The walnut king.”

I’m trying to be more attentive to those around me.

He is missed and will be as he had become a long distant Lumberjock friend!

Bob, Always found a kind thing to say about everyone’s work. Was a true southern gentleman. I miss his comments and unique take on things . Happy Birthday Bob,
