So I decided on the SawStop PCS175. Good timing as the rebate offer is going on.

So I called my local Rockler as I wanted to pick it up to save the $250 freight charge.

They told me they had a floor model they just put on sale. Included, the 26” T-glide fence, overarm dust collector, dust guard and roller base, all for $2400. Had 1 hours of use, in great shape!

Plus, Sawstop will honor the rebate as well!

Lucky DAY!

I’d imagine a floor model got kicked, leaned on, and otherwise abused a little, even if it was hardly ever run. I’d be sure to get everything aligned and then tightened down. Otherwise, nice score.

@TheFridge just read the manual, says “Do Not Use to Cut Alder” so much for that

The floor model at the local woodcraft was on sale too. Was advertised as only being run for 4 mins and only cut two hot dogs. lol

Don’t you mean ”tried to cut 2 hot dogs”?

At his local woodcraft? No sir, those hot dogs were launched from a t-shirt cannon, the sawstop didn’t stand a chance.

Demo day is a wondrous thing at the woodcrafts. Belly dancers, Half-barrels of mead by the bathrooms and floor-workers pushing their luck and hollering at the top of their lungs like a bunch of carnies on the last night of the tour.

.....

At least… That’s how I imagine it. There isn’t a woodcraft or any other woodworking store within a 150 mile radius of where I live…. =(

Good buy Chris! I have had my saw stop PCS for 7 or 8 years now and don’t regret it for a second….I think that everytime I use it.
