I have a 14” Craftex bandsaw and am getting tiered of blade changes. I normally have a 3/4” resaw blade on it but every once and a while I need to cut a tighter curve . Does anyone have any opinions on a 9 or 10” benchtop band saw. The thickest wood I would be cutting would be 2” thick. I am leaning towards the Rickon 10-305
Thanks
Al

You most likely do not need a 3/4” blade on your saw. A 1/4” or 3/8” skip tooth should do the job, and you can use it for curve cutting.
Check out this video on setting up you saw. It may help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGbZqWac0jU

if you’re leaning towards the 10-305, now would be the time to get it since they are on sale at woodcraft.

Thanks all. I ordered the Rikon from a company called Great Western Saw in Saskatoon Sask. I wish we could get the same options of vendors in Canada as you get in the United States.Price was comparable once I add in the exchange

Please post a review of your new band saw. I am considering the Rikon 10-305. Love to hear your opinion.

I’m with lesB. My 20 inch grizzly I bought used came with a 3/4 inch resaw blade and a 3/16 or so for doing curves. It was a pain having to switch back and fourth. I now use a 3/8 skip tooth for almost every application. I use a scroll saw for precision.
