Any suggestions on clean up after spilling a quart of arm r seal on my mud room floor? The disposal of wet rags is my question. The label says to place them in water in a sealed metal container. My question is if the container must be metal.I understand the concern related to combustion of wet rags. Thanks.

I would put the rags out over a fence or on the side walk until they dry out…........I’v already draped rags over cardboard boxes…....Should be dry in a day or two. Then you can throw them away.

let wet rags dry outside in the sun – then dispose of them accordingly.
only the rags with liquid residue will combust.
the worst on the list is linseed oil, some oil based paints and some solvents.
if you live out in the country, toss them on your burn pile.
drying them thoroughly is the safe route.

Another option is to lay them out in a single layer on the lawn to dry in the sun. Once dried you can treat them as normal trash.

I had hoped to dry them, but supposed to rain tonight (of course). Dealing with lots of wet papertowels which is what we grabbed when the quart fell and spilled all the contents. Not a good end to what was already a long day.

I would just burn them.
