Topic tags/keywords: miter saw hood

This shall be temporary…or forever, undecided :) For the longest time, I needed a hood behind my miter saw. Always a simple project to do, but found that I always had to finish something else. Well, while browsing a local auction, I picked this up for $5. Comes with plastic structures and metal poles. I immediately though of a miter saw hood :) With some tie wraps and a knife. And somehow, this actually works! Has zipper front to open fully for cleaning out, side pockets for storage, and made a “V” shape on the backside to enter into a 6” duct collection fitting.

That’s slumming it, alright. Looks like your saw is ready to do some kind of magic act.

Hey if it contains the dust-and all for $5 bucks who cares what it looks like.

It even comes with side pockets for accessory storage! OOOooo….
I saw the Rosseua (spelling?) hood for miter saws. Basically the same thing, right? Fabric hood with tent poles (probably the flexible plastic ones).
