Good day

I have 3 CS’s and every one of them has different “Edge-to-blade” distance.

Instead of making 3 separate “Saw boards”, I made an “Off-set” plate for each of them and now, I can use any straight-edge for each of them.
I’m still using the “Knives” to set the distance.

You can make the same “Off-set” for your router bits but, one “Off-set”, for one bit diameter so, if you have a few bits that you use the most, it’s worth it to make a few “Off-sets” and have them ready.

Regards

Whoah. Such a simple concept, but… I don’t think I would have thought about it any time soon, Niki!

Thanks for the tip! I like the idea of using that for the different sized router bits.

By the way, are those brass ruler markers hand-made or purchased? If the former, can you detail the process some time? If the latter, do you remember where?

Thank you Red Headed Marganser

I bought them when I lived in Japan, usually, they came with the ruler but I bought more of them separately.

I found one here

Niki:

Great concept for setting up your CS. I like it.
