Hello everyone. I have spent the last few days restoring this old timber framing socket chisel. Its been alot of fun removing the rust, leveling the back of the blade and restoring the edge. I was also excited to finally have a use for some reclaimed white oak that has been sitting in my basement, it came from a home next door which was built in teh late 1800’s, they pulled out a bunch of 10’ long 4×6’s beams and I took a few out of the dumpster.

I would really like to figure out who the company is behind this chisel and maybe make a good guestimate on how old the blade is. Any ideas?
