Topic tags/keywords: dado stack dado stack spacer 18” freud sd208 replacement tablesaw

Hi Everyone,

I own the Freud 8” dado stack SD208 and I lost one of the 1/8” spacers .. I looked online and on the owners manual and sell everthing except the spacers

Does anyone know where to get them I need one that fits a 5/8” arbor

Thanks

Could you just get a 1/8” washer and drill a 5/8” hole for the Arbor?

I’d try Freud first though.

I have a Freud set but it didn’t come with spacers.

It does, however come with 5 chippers.

Maybe you could find some of those?

This may sound stupid, but could you buy 2 sets of the shims, use all 6 of the .02 shims and 2 of the .012 to get .124, which is pretty darn close to 1/8”. Not ideal, but is an alternative.

I’m a little confused, though that’s often the case. The thickest chippers I’ve seen are 1/8”, and that’s the size of the spacers you want (?). One another note, I did see some dado sets had replaced the chippers with spacers I didn’t Freud was one of the companies that did it.
