Using tripod as miter saw out feed stand

First post here at LumberJock!

I have a 12” compound miter saw sitting on a Husky x-horse. I am in process of building a miter stand out of plywood. Until then I need some out-feed support.

I have a few tripods (I do photography, another expensive hobby).
I used 2 1/4”-20 insert nuts and screwed two pieces of scrap wood.
I read about people using this technique for homemade easel. It works as out feed support too.

One of the tripod is an older video tripod with a handcrank to adjust the height – which works best.
