Topic tags/keywords: help surfer dude lazy-boy chair question

I had a request from a friend the other day for a chair like the one in the movie “Surfer Dude”. They talked about it like it should be common knowledge but I don’t seem to recall. Anyway,, if anyone knows what this person was talking about, has any pictures or designs that are relevant, a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!!

I’m sure he’s talking about these. They don’t look too hard to make.

Here’s the page from the Internet Movie Database on Surfer Dude.

THey have 77 pics from the movie there as well as the trailer for it and I didn’t see any significant chairs. But, I have to say any surfer would love to have one of those from Williams.

I also did a Google Image search for pics related to that movie, and could not find any of chairs, or even of characters in the movie kicking back in a chair. Now I’m curious.

Let us know if William’s chair is the one, or if it’s something else.

I talked to them again and it sounds like it is along these lines- http://lumberjocks.com/assets/pictures/projects/211331-196x130.jpg?1302317250 Not nearly as amazing I’m sure, but this general shape. Thanks guys and I do like those chairs Williams and may just have to make one for my beach bum brother!!

That is pretty close to an adirondac lounger….you can probably adapt plans for one of those into something like this….the only difficult part is that it looks like they made the bottom supports out of driftwood…That would not be too hard of a build but perhaps they might like the surfboard seats better….

I have never seen the movie he’s talking about. I was trying to be helpful and just done an internet search for “unique chair from the movie surfer dude”. The chairs I linked too above were the first ones of interest that were listed. I think they are cool enough that if you build them, your friend would like them. As a surfer friend I used to ahve would have said, “them there are some coolest of the coolest chairs. They are awesome in their awsomeness. Duuuuuude!”
