Hi Danny, This sounds like a good price. Two years ago this package was selling for $280. Amazon has it listed for $263. A 2 horse router can be used for most operations in the shop with the exception of cutting raised panels. While it is not recommended I have seen some woodworkers using a 2 hp to do this however. I personally like Dewalt products. I have a 621 and 625 and haven’t had any problems with either of them. -- With God's help all things are possible- even woodworking. Woodworking is not just a hobby, it is an (expletive deleted) expensive hobby. |

thanks scott. it seemed to be a great buy. I have the dewalt jointer and like it i do not like most of there tools. but being the company that black and decker bought it was worth the price. thank for the reply -- danny s "the first to lose are the first to give up" |

Wow, that seems like a crazy price. That kit is “clearanced” at my HD for $276. I’ve seen it at HD online for as low as $251 in the past but $150!? That’s a steal and possibly a pricing error. I contemplated this myself but opted for the Ridgid combo instead (at $199). I had read some good reviews on it and positive comments from people at a router forum I found. It’s also hard to pass up that lifetime warranty. I’m starting to become a Ridgid tools poster boy I guess. Regardless, you should be very happy with your awesome score! -- - mark |

thanks markd, I now have found out why it was a great deal from the fine hd! today was the first day Ihadachance to use it and found that the fine ajustment rings are gone also the 1/2 in. collet. It must have been the display or a return? so I went to dw web and priced the parts 35 for collet, 5 for ring. plus sh. all and all 210.00 for the kit not bad. I think it is go to get a deal but this tells me that from now on I will look be for I jump and buy from this company agian. danny -- danny s "the first to lose are the first to give up" |
