Topic tags/keywords: lathe and lathe tools for sale

So many of you know that I have health issues that have made me make some very difficult decisions. One of which is to sell my lathe tools and supplies. So this is the list of what I have and I’ll add pictures.

Jet Mini lathe – originally $399 (treated ok – but not the best)
Sorby RS200KT Multi-tip hollowing tool – originally $104.99 (never used)
842LH 3/8 Bowl gouge – originally $49.99 (never used)
842LH ½ Bowl gouge – originally $98.99 (never used)
998H 1/16 midi-fluted parting tool – originally $40.50 (used once or twice)
812H 1” Spindle Master – originally $64.99 (never used)
828H ¾ curved scraper – originally ? (never used)
Sorby 1/8 parting tool – originally
? (abused)
¾ Sorby—- no idea
5 piece wood turning set H.S. S. miniature (from woodworking supply) originally $199.00 (I believe( – used a lot
Crown 5 piece Woodturning set – originally $209 (I believe – never sharpened
Super Nova Woodturning Chuck – originally $179.99 (never used)
Fine Woodworking Videos (all originally 19.99) Turning Projects with Richard Raffan Turning Boxes with Richard Raffan Turning Wood with Richard Raffan Bowling turing with Del Stubbs
Box of various pen blanks
Walmart bag of pen and pencil kits
Face mask – originally $29.99
Buffer set – will find

I’m not having any luck whatsoever uploading my pictures, so help with that would be appreciated.

Regardless there is about $1,200 – $1,400 worth of tools here. I’d like to sell everything in one batch and not piece meal. Shipping would be a problem for me, so who wants it should be near the Dallas Fort Worth area so they can drive to the house.

I’d like to get $800 for the whole batch. Again, I really want to sell in a group.

If you are in the DFW area or close by and are interested – please reply to this or send me a PM.

Thanks all.

sorry to hear it comes down to this Betsy. Looks like you have quite the turning stash, should be a great deal for whoever picks it up.

Oh, Betsy- I am so sorry to read that your health is keeping you from doing things you really enjoyed. We will keep you in our prayers and hope that things improve.

oh Betsy, I am so sorry to hear that your health hasn’t improved and you are passing along your tools. Good luck with the sale and best wishes for a hobby that brings joy to your heart, replacing the woodworking that you are having to give up.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I am not completely out of woodworking, but I know for a fact that to use a lathe would be far to dangerous to contemplate.

My new doctor is giving me hope that I will be doing some real shop work soon, maybe even this summer! But she did agree that lathe work is out. Hopefully I will be posting projects and tips again soon!

I am very sorry to hear that you are giving up turning. Please let me know if you do decide to piece things out there are a couple of things I would take off your hands. Hope you feel better.

I will keep you in my prays. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to by everything and to far away to come pick it up. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
