Is this a good price for a Biesemeyer fence?

$209 from Lowe’s plus I will get a 10% military discount. It seems like it is the lower end model?

This or the Delta T2 fence?

Looking at it it seems like a great deal and isn’t one of those deals where it is just the fence and no railings etc.

Opinions?

Looks like they have gone up in price recently… IIRC, they were something like $190 a few months ago. Also, I believe the T2 has been discontinued and only what is left in the supply channel is available. Maybe someone can confirm.

Cheers,
Brad

What has replaced the delta T2 the ones I found on amazon are $299 but if this lower end Bisemeyer fence is just as good for almost $100 cheaper then it seems like the better buy.

Unless someone can recommend a different fence or somewhere else to get one for $299 or below?

That’s the Delta T3 fence. It’s a decent fence. $200 has been the price for quite a while. I have not heard of the T3 being discontinued, but it’s certainly possible.

Not near the quality of the old Biesemeyer fences, but not bad for $200. Grizzly/Shop Fox make something comparable for around the same money. There’s also the Vega fence. For a little more money the VerySuperCoolTools fence is dynamite.

Home Depot also has it at that price

You could also buy it from eBay for $199 with free shipping and probably no sales tax which may be a little cheaper. (The advantage of buying it from Lowes would be easy return in case there was a problem or you just didn’t like it)

That’s about the going rate for the T3 these days. Your discount will help. This is about the best bang for the buck going in a decent aftermarket fence IMO.

AFAIK, the biggest difference between the T2 and the T3 is the handle…otherwise, nearly identical. These are not as robust as the original Biesemeyer commercial fences or their clones, but are a similar design and work well. The T2/T3 have smaller tubing and thinner steel.

If you had to pick would you take the $209 Bisemeyer fence from Lowes or the Delta T3?

Not sure if thrbloees/home depot bisemeyer is a clone or the normal brand name. I can’t tell the difference

While I can’t really compare my T3 to anything else, I will say that it’s served me well.

I have found that when tightening it down, the other end can move slightly, so I’ve gotten in the habit of holding the other end with my left hand, while tightening the locking lever.

If you do buy the T3 from Lowes, use one of the Lowes code generators to get a 20% off code.

I was just searching the lowes website and it says the T3’s are not available anymore?

I’m pretty sure the Biese would run closer to $400. Me thinks they’ve got some typos if the actual Biese commercial fence is showing for $209. Ask, or try it and see!

Delta bought Biesemeyer and AFAIK market the same fence under both names. A T3 is a T3 regardless of which name is on it. If you look at the model numbers – both are the same – 36-T30T3

I didn’t even notice that so basically they slapped a different name on the fence then?

Toss a coin I think you’d be hard pressed to find a difference other than the handle unless you move up to the commercial models. I have a Delta T2 that I bought for about $200 it seems, several years ago from Lowes. After getting it dialed in (on my craftsman 113 saw) it’s rock solid.

Thank you for your input. In buying the T2 or T3 have you ever wished you shelled $100 more and got maybe a Vega 50 or some over little bit higher end fence?
