Topic tags/keywords: question

Anyone have any idea what kind of wood this is? It’s a desk belonging to a friend. He was told it was made with reclaimed lumber, was made in Central America, and is teak. I have never seen teak that looks like this… but there’s a lot of things out there I haven’t seen. Any ideas?

Could be a type of teak with lots of sap wood (white part).
