Topic tags/keywords: tip resource recycle

I was looking around for ideas to build my granddaughter a outdoor swing / play-set. In my searches I happened to find a good website most if not all of us can use at sometime in our woodworking lives. Most all of us have extra stuff laying around sometimes for years just because it is too good to throw away but not really enough to sell so it just sits till one day we get tired of moving it and it goes to the landfill. Stuff like the extra fence material (wire) or mabie even a wooden gate we took down and made a better one. For stuff like that there is a place called FREECYCLE. What happens there is other folks post what they have and offer it to anyone who wants to come pick it up. Naturally it is not going to be bran new stuff but it just might be that extra bit of mirror, fencing, or an old washing machine I am only posting this because I seen where we all may benefit from this place also. Check it out at . I know I have an old TV stand my wife wanted out of the house and it found it’s way in my shop along with some other items too.

I signed up for my local freecycle…they confirmed my registration and all, but I haven’t heard a word out of ‘em since. Their website(my local arm)appears not to have changed in weeks Not much participation here I guess.
