Topic tags/keywords: question Why is it that sometimes we can’t view all the pics in zoom mode? Now its happening to me in my last two posts! I rarely use a link and paste from my files. -- Paul, Plantagenet, Ontario |

Can you be more specific? Do you get a completely new web page with the first picture on it when you click on zoom? This happens to me if I have a setting called “compatibility view” turned on. I don’t know what this is; for all I can tell, it should be called the “disable zoom on LJs” setting. I’m using IE8. -- My broker promised me he would treat my money as if it were his own. Trouble is, he did. |

I’ve noticed that sometimes when I check out project pictures from the “pulse” page, they seem to “hang” and never load. Just figured that the photo hosting site was really busy. Not sure if that’s what happening for you. Lew -- Lew- Time traveler. Purveyor of the world's finest custom rolling pins! |

Paul, another reason for for the picture to appear small is the lack of an ! at the beginning and end of the link. You might want to check the address for the picture and edit the link so that it starts and ends with an ! if this is the issue. -- Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful- Joshua Marine |

Does it look like this:
Instead of like this?
That’s what I was talking about. With “compatibility view” ON, it sometimes does like in the first picture (including on your project, as you can see). With “compatibility view” OFF, it works normally. This issue has come up before; you’re at least the third person to ask about it (I did, too); there’s never been a good answer. -- My broker promised me he would treat my money as if it were his own. Trouble is, he did. |

JJ, Yeah, that’s happened to me from time to time. I looked in properties but couldn’t find where to check that setting. Using IE 8 also. TIA EDIT: Nevermind. Tools / Compatibility Setting… -- Backer boards, stop blocks, build oversized, and never buy a hand plane-- |

It’s something to do with LJ’s Facebook page, but I don’t know any more than that. -- My broker promised me he would treat my money as if it were his own. Trouble is, he did. |

I just checked your pictures with Firefox 4.0 and they worked perfectly. The “Like” # is the number of people who are following Lumberjocks on Facebook. If you click on the like button, it will add a link to your Facebook account and update that account when new posts are made here- I think. -- Lew- Time traveler. The Like number looks like it is the same for the whole LJ site, not just you. And what is “Facebook”? -- Backer boards, stop blocks, build oversized, and never buy a hand plane-- |
