This 6” long bed jointer is available a long drive away for $500 and looks great in the pics. It seems all of jets 6” jointers are similar throughout the years and difference being helical head and power draw.
Does anyone have experience with this model JJ-6CSX?

Someone asked this recently. Here’s the link so you can read what others have said.

In my book, that’s high, especially for a long drive but market prices vary widely depending on area.

I have a JJ-6CS that has never given me a bit of trouble. It’s built like a tank and being a jointer there’s not that much that could go wrong with it anyways. Mine is probably 14-15 years old and as you said is similar to other Jet jointers produced after it. Being that the one you’re looking at has a longer bed then mine, $500 is a good ballpark price with maybe a little wiggle room there.
