Topic tags/keywords: diy router table saw

I was given a porter cable contractors saw that is in rough shape. I would like to use the motor and switch for something. I was thinking a diy router table. Is that possible?

Even if you could get enough speed out of the motor, how are you going to mount the bits? If what you have has one of those plastic universal motors, I’d list it on CL as is, and use the funds to find a nice used router instead ;)

Cheers,
Brad

You can take the motor out and sell it on
ebay to somebody who burned theirs out.

Have your say...
