So… I just ordered a set of veritas saws, dovetail and crosscut. I order lots of stuff online, and im not the most patient person. Once I have paid for something, I just can’t stand not having it in my hands, but with these saws, I really cant wait, I am sitting here, thinking whether is is worth the $100 in gas to make a day trip up to Canada to a lee-valley store. I know Im losing my mind when I think that might be a good idea.

So Im wondering if other LJ’s have the same experience waiting for their tools, and which ones make you the most excited.

Im the same way.I actually ordered the same saw on friday eve, should be here tomorrow. And this is pretty sad,but after a month looking for the best deal on a dewalt dw735 planer and finding it for 579 with the extra blades and in/out feed tables and free shipping,I went to lowes monday and paid more without all the extra goodies so I didnt have to wait. Then later there was a little buyers remorse…... but I got started on another project lol

Thats exactly what im talking about, I cant stand waiting for tools. Sometimes it is better to just go get it, and be able to move on.

Also, I have to say, Im a bit jealous that you are getting your saw before me, thanks for adding salt to the wound LOL.

I LOVE opening packages, get excited all the time.

I was planning to buy wiping rag online, but it makes no sense to do. shipping cost 7.99 where I can drive to paint shop instead.

Have your say...
