I am hoping someone here can give me some history.

I have heard tale of an LN No. 4 1/2 with the bronze body. I’ve even seen them pop up on youtube here and there, but there is no option to order them from LN at this time.

Were these special runs? Or were they just discontinued at some point?

Thanks,
Brian

I don’t know how many times they’ve offered them but the first time was a limited run celebrating the LN 25th anniversary, which was 10-11 years ago? Something like that. Last summer they announced another limited run but I don’t know why. They were $750.

I think it’s heavier than cast iron so the bigger sizes are iron.

Seems like they were just offering the bronze ones a couple of years back. I bought an iron one (used) and was looking at the price of new ones. I’m sure I saw a drop down box that listed bronze….regardless, it’s not there now.
