I am looking for someone who has or has had experience on this lathe, specifically the copying component. Just wondering how the overall cut quality is. Pros, cons? I am search for used killengers and hapfcos as well but no luck. Scmi is 40 mins away so I can just drop by and pick up one of the minimax’s.

Have no experience with it so went looking for info:

Minimax T124 copy lathe 41V5

Here is a video with lousy sound.

Not sure where you buy these lathes or components other than E-bay. Did find one vendor in TX.

Posted this link their opinions seem to be its a spindle lathe.

You usually have to buy scmi products from your regional rep. Luckily scmi has a headquarters in Duluth, Ga (outside Atlanta) so not too far away. The rep has the lathe and speaks highly of it. I just know that anyone selling something isn’t going to tell you the cons.

I was hoping someone would have one and know the details that a rep isn’t going to give up when they want your 4k.

Have your say...
