Topic tags/keywords: salt pepper shaker plug stopper supply robroy

I have started to turn same nice salt and pepper shakers on the lathe.

I had best luck turning a hole in the bottom to fill it with salt. I found some
plastic plugs a hobby cermic supply shop. However they only had a few left and I
purchased what they had. I like these better than the rubber ones.

They are made by robroy part# 630. They are clear plastic plug about 3/4 wide and tapered with a small flange.
I belive they are designed for plugs in pipes during shipment. I found the website for robroy which has several
companies but not able to directly find this part.

I been unable to locate this robroy 630 on the internet. I did find a 632, but no size description.

Does anyone have a source that they can point me toward?

Thanks.

Don’t have a source but I have a bunch of the rubber ones that come with the Woodcraft pepper grinder kits. I don’t use them and you are welcome to them.

This link will take you to McMaster Carr.
This company has everything anybody could ever need to build anything.
A pretty broad statement, I realize, but go look for yourself.

Crank,

I saw one other place that had caps like this in bags of 1000!!! But 100 is more my size. But my only concern
is they are red vs the clear ones that I have on the robroy.

Thank for this link as order 100 much better than the 1000.

Thanks
