Good morning everyone.

New here and have been lurking for a while not only here but anywhere else I can read tool reviews. No place I’ve looked though has a comparison. I’m looking for a new (first real) table saw for the shop and I’m trying to figure out the difference between these 2. I’d swap the 0833P over to 110V as that’s all that’s in my shop. The only real difference I’m noticing and reading about though seems to be the overhead dust collector on the 0833p. Is that dust collector really worth the extra $250? I’m just a hobbyist that’s starting, so any sub $1200ish recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Rich

Look for comparison between G0715P and G0771, which are the previous versions of the same saws.

This is the official response from Grizzly if anyone is interested.

We appreciate your interest in our products. The G0771Z – 10” Hybrid Table Saw with T-Shaped Fence and the G0833P – 10” Hybrid Table Saw with Riving Knife, Polar Bear Series are similar; however, do have some significant differences. The fence and rail systems are different and create some rip capacity differences. As you have noted the G0833P has the enhanced dust collection system. The models are compared below:

Freight deliveries require that your address must be tractor-trailer accessible. This delivery is a curbside delivery, which means the driver will pull up to the curb and move the merchandise to the back of the truck. Truck drivers are also subject to a number of regulations, one of which is that they are not required to give any assistance in unloading. Please be prepared for this curbside delivery as you are responsible for unloading the item and placing it in your shop. This normally requires assistance. We do provide the trucking company with your telephone number, and it is their responsibility to notify you before delivery. Delivery will be made during normal business hours.

Lift gate service is available for an additional $34.00. With this service, they will lower the merchandise to the ground for you at curbside. If you are interested in this service, please request it when placing your order. If you place your order online, you may add it to your order directly from your shopping cart. You may view your shopping cart at https://www.grizzly.com/cart/showcart.aspx.

At the time of delivery, we ask that you please inspect the packaging for any signs of damage, including dents, tears, or holes. If you see any damage, please make sure to notate that on the paperwork the driver gives you to sign. If exterior damage is not noted, filing a freight claim for any damage to the machine can be difficult.

Items under 70 lbs. are assessed a shipping and handling fee based on the total dollar amount of the items.

Freight items (items over 70 pounds) are each assessed their own flat rate shipping and handling charge. This charge is listed on the product page of each item.

You are more than welcome to place an order through our website, www.grizzly.com, or by calling our order desk at 1-800-523-4777. Operators are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern time and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Alternatively, you can reply to this email to provide your full name, complete billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, and a complete list of the items you wish to order. We will be happy to set up the order and provide you with instructions for calling with payment information.

If we may be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. You are a valued customer, and we look forward to serving your future woodworking and metalworking needs.
