what a disgrace, stanley chisels are packaged better, I would really expect them to do a better job with such nice tools. I hope you wrote an e-mail to lee valley, that is just unacceptable. |

Bubinga; I would send them a link to this post just to make sure that they understand that their poor packing is widely circulated to the woodworking community. I will say that this has not been my past experience with Lee Vallery at all. Must have been packed right before quitting time on a Friday? Same as “Viking”.... although I have 2 of their stores within a short driving distance of me so I pick everything up myself. “Somebody” was not in a good mood when they packaged those Chisels! If anything Lee valley is Extremely Conscious of “Customer Service.” So! We gonna fix it for you E J if it can be “Fixed” i.e The Deed Has been Done Rob Lee, President of Lee Valley Tools and Veritas is a Member of Lumberjocks. I have him in my “Buddies”. I cut the sides of them with my coping saw and slip them over my chisels. Protects them in my toolbox and keeps the chisel from rolling off the workbench. They stay on better than the ones that come with the chisels. -- Darrell, making more sawdust than I know what to do with |
