It’s a badge put on Taiwan-made equipment
in the 1980s and maybe into the 90s. About
the same as Grizzly stuff from the same era
I think.

Looks like a bench top drill press. I would consider shopping for new at that price….....Just my humble opinion…

Yeah….I think I’ll shop around. What’s a good press the sub $500 range? Very sub if possible.

The Cal-Hawk looks like a good deal to
me. It’s a 16” model which is not rinky-dink
capacity.

I had a Cal-Hawk floor model dp my dad
found at a garage sale. It was missing the
table and I made a wooden one which I
used for awhile. Other than the hand wheel
knobs falling off I didn’t have any problems
with it.

I don’t like the table but the castings of that era were solid. I’d pay 50. I had a HF that looked identical and I’d buy another if I saw it for 50$. Just my opinion.

Buy it. It’s the same basic Taiwan model as imported by Jet for decades. Around here it would have sold in about 15 minutes at twice the price, not kidding. Matter of fact I bought one just like it for $100 and considered myself lucky.

this just popped up in my location. I don’t know much about Wilton equipment other than their vises. Seems like a solid piece of equipment and has 5-speeds as well. I’m more excited about it than the Cal-Hawk. Thoughts??

You might find the Wilton is another Taiwan machine. They were sold under dozens of labels.
