HI friends Since Charles and Randall are both friends of mine I thought I’d let you know that Charles Neil and Randall Child(both Lj members) are having a class to teach how to make a Maloof style rocker. I know there others out there are teaching this type of class but Randall has had personal instruction and Sams original patterns from Sam Maloof .Take a look at Randall’s work http://lumberjocks.com/projects/16042 -- W James Brokenbourgh Custom furniture maker http://artisticwoodstudio.com/ |

Love the chairs but making one is wayyyyyyyyy above my pay grade. ;) -- Homer : "Oh, and how is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain." |

Nice chair Jim, I was going to fly out to Montana and take Andy Chidwick’s class but Charles is much closer for me. Andy has 3 classes class running April 11th – April 22nd, July 25th-Aug 5, Sept 12th – Sept 23rd and is $2,855.00 for each 2 week class so for me $2500.00 and no plane fair is a bargain. Is this your chair that you built? |
