Topic tags/keywords: hand tools made in the usa list I need a pair of end cutting pliers. Wondering if any are still American made, I googled and was surprised to find this list ;-) http://www.stillmadeinusa.com/tools.html#handtools I googled Canada too and found some info, but nothing like the USA list. -- "some old things are lovely, warm still with life ... of the forgotten men who made them." - D.H. I had a look at one on the list…Fishing!!! YEA!! Ardent Reels a Nice Looking Bass Reel..EVEN Camouflaged so the bass can’t see it…LOL… I guess $180.00 is a reasonable price especially for a guy like me who already has about 20/30 Reels????

I glanced through the list. There was a lot more than I expected, I must say. But don’t say that to loud, it might change. -- Tim, Missouri ....Inside every older person is a younger person wondering what the heck happened |

Bob stuff made in the USA or Canada are about the same quality I think, we say cheaper in US mostly because of the taxes, US has a 6% tax and Canada has 14% tax which makes a big difference. |

GMman, the tax is why the whole world dumps their garbage on us. They have taxes on our exports but they get a free ride sending stuff here.i -- "some old things are lovely, warm still with life ... of the forgotten men who made them." - D.H. Lawrence |

Roger 40 years ago we were the manufacturer for the world, everything was made here. I remember when we went of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association’s Standards and started using the international junk that is installed today. Makes for a lot of service work for those who know how to fix things ;-) -- "some old things are lovely, warm still with life ... of the forgotten men who made them." - D.H. Lawrence |
