i just purchase a very old parks planer working
the rollers are not i want to fix the gear right
anyone know these old planers or were i can find info on them
i just want to take care of her right like how much oil in the gear box how tight should the belts be etc

ha ha ha….I think they call it the “slippery slope”...here is mine….I have the motor apart to repack the bearings and paint it and once that is done onto the planer…Loren gave you the best source I know of….good luck…take pictures…in the wiki of owwm, there is info on step by step disassembly of it….i heard it is not for the faint of the heart :)

thanks guys that site is perfect
mine is in working condition but the reservoir seems to be loose how is yours stabilized
it looks like im missing that bottom piece

I have read that it is normal for the gear box to have some play…

what bottom piece do you mean?

looks like a spacer in between the gearbox and the planer frame
and yes pics coming
