This is totally off topic- but I know there are some intelligent tradesmen on here so I post my question.

I am adding a second bathroom in our house and I have some drain/vent questions.

I drew up some diagrams of what I’d like to do, but would like a check before I start my demo so I can see if this is even viable. Very limited options on routing things so I need to know if I can get it to work, before trying and getting a plumber or pulling a permit.

If you know what you’re doing when it comes to plumbing, feel free to send me a PM. Some simple drain and vent questions. I’d rather not post the diagrams here and start some long off topic thread which just ends up with people disagreeing with one another.

Thanks!

(If this is too far out of the rehlm of the forum feel free to delete this thread.)

My take: it appears to me that the vent pipe for the shower is downstream of the shower drain where instead it should be at or just upstream of the drain to allow air to enter ahead of the discharge, just as you have shown for the sink.
