Good choice. I have had a couple very high end saws and neither worked for me as well as this one.

Very good price… I have had this saw for a few years now. I blogged about it then because a guy was selling it for $75 a about 30 miles away from me on craigslist. I thought maybe there was something wrong with it or it was hot or something, but nope, up and up, the guy just wanted to get rid of it. It had almost no mileage on it.

Still, the price you got was very, very good. And, you’ll like it a lot.

Being it is a type 1 not a type 2 it is a pretty decent deal. The type one is allegedly a much better saw.

I bought a type 2 new at Rockler’s with stand a few years back on special for $400—I was not totally satisfied.

It was fine for about 4 years and then started needing to be kick started! It still ran well and cut nice; but I had to pound the blade mechanism every time to start it. It might even just be sawdust in the wrong place. I was in the middle of a couple of projects so replaced it.

I admit it had quite hard use, but the cheap Dremel I had before that was beat as hard and was still going strong when I sold it because of moving 1500 miles.

Many would say you have earned a “You Suck”!!!
I’m not so sure….

I picked up a Type 1, with stand & low mileage….
For a mere $125….

However, I believe that Craftsman EARNED a “You Suck”!!! ;^)

Ya did get a great deal, anyway you look at it….
CONGRATS & ENJOY!!!

Oh heck…. YOU SUCK!!!

You did a great choice. It is basically the same as a Excalibur EX.

Have a look.
