I do not have a plan for you, but that looks like quite an advanced project. I. Believe it is cut from a single piece of wood. Look up the Roubo book stand, which is made similarly. You could possibly take inspiration on how .to create this by seeing how that one is done.

I don’t know what to say about this post.

first of all, Mr. Soo works for a large tool distribution company in Shenzhen, China.
my wife is Chinese and is from Shenzhen. I have been there a few times myself and
Shenzhen is becoming the most industrialized area in all of China outside of Hong Kong.

I don’t think that Mr. Soo has any malicious intentions, but he is not a woodworker. he is a business man.
he has E-Bay and FaceBook internet stores. he can sell you the Lu Ban Chair by the thousands.

There are several good videos on YouTube on how make the Chinese Lu Ban Chair, very interesting to watch.
But – Mr. Soo is not here for woodworking advice. He wants to sell you the tools to do your craft with.

yes – I did my homework on Mr. Soo

Actually I’m a business man. Our company support woodworking tools but we don’t sell woodworks.

This post is to find somebody who is intersted in Chinese traditional style and I want to ask a plan or video for our DIY woodworking friends.

You said, “There are several good videos on YouTube on how make the Chinese Lu Ban Chair”, but i only find one video in youtube. That’s a video speaking in Chinese, you know, people who speak other languages may not understand. I’m very grateful if you can find several good videos introducing in English.

Thanks for reply.

I thought I was going to see some real nice RU Yi stuff. Guess the traditional stuff is not so popular any more.

Real Chinese style woodworking needs very complex patterns and components, that may cost a lot. So may not popular.

This picture is one of the real traditional style chair.

Actually I find a few company design morden style fusing of Chinese traditional styles, but these works are really rare.
