I just recently purchased an older blue jet wbs-14 bandsaw and I was wanting to install a 6” riser block on it but after contacting Jet they no longer offer any support for it. I have been trying to find out if the newer white riser block for the current 14” jet bandsaws will work but I haven’t been able to find out any concrete info after scouring the internet for the last week. If anybody can give me some input as to what riser block would work I would greatly appreciatle it. I know also that powermatic or grizzly riser block are available but don’t know about them either.

If when you called them Jet didn’t recommend their current riser block for your saw then I doubt if the white one will fit your saw. Then again…..............?

Thanks for the input guys. I called Jets tech dept. yesterday instead of just emailing them and told them I would modify a white one or a powermatic one (since they are both the same made by the same manufacturer)if it would work and Gary the tech support guy told me he would call me back after he did some checking and told me that there are 2 different white riser blocks. One has a 3/4” guide bar and the other has a 7/8” giude. The older blue bandsaw that I own has the 7/8” round guide so it will work. The only thing I have to do is remove the guide pins on the riser block as per his instructions because the blue bandsaw doesn’t have predrilled holes in it for the guide pins. Evidently guide pins wern’t used in the late ninteys for block alignment? It might be more of a hassle to set back up but I hope it will be worth it in the end. By the way for anyone that has this same prediciment as me, the riser block model #’s are 708717 jrb-14 for the riser with a 7/8” round guide bar and 708717-a jrb-14 for the riser block with a 3/4” round guide bar

I just upgraded old blue jet.
Woodcraft stocks the Jet 6” riser kit. You just either live with the white riser, or paint i
It’s even on sale now!!
I’ve found that Jet CS is kinda hit and miss. The only problem I had was I had to drill the two holes in the bottom of the riser block just a smidgin deeper.

Have your say...
