infill material ideas?

does anyone know of a good source for ideas for infilling a carved name or design? I may fill with pewter or silver and sand flush, but I’m interested in other options too. I have seen, maybe on LJs, projects that use turquoise to fill live edges, cracks ect,,..

any suggestions?

epoxy and ground chalk of any desired color.
