I just released An Intermediate SketchUp Tutorial – Part 4 The Video Version. You can find it at http://www.srww.com/blog/?p=1482 . This part is approximately 55 minutes long. In this video I show you how to draw bracket ogee feet profiles in two views. Then I create elongated (extruded) parts from both profiles, align them orthogonally, and use the menu Edit/Intersect Faces/With Model to help me erase unnecessary geometry. This leaves me with a back foot from which I create a mitered foot, and finally a complete set of feet. The crafted feet can be seen at http://www.srww.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Feet-Ready-For-Glue-Up.jpg and the modeled feet at http://www.srww.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/renderedfeet.jpg .

Part 5 will be out in a week or so and it will show the student how to draw Cabriole legs like those found at http://www.srww.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/completedcabriolelegs.png . Stay tuned.
