Has anyone tried these? Very cool nails for us Texas-Jocks…. I noticed them on Etsy:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/582674735/the-texas-nail-company?utm_medium=SellerListingTools&utm_campaign=Share&utm_source=Raw&share_time=1514747252000&utm_term=so.slt

Has anyone purchased some?

Cool yes, but nails that cost nearly $0.50 each and aren’t to be used as nails are designed to be used kinda takes the shine off that apple.

Those are pretty cool, and they’re obviously for decoration only. Pilot hole drill them and just get them so that they’re snug, they’d make great accents.

Actually, aluminum nails are used all across Texas for cedar fences. They don’t rust nor bleed dark stains on the wood.

So, not that soft, kids….

I’m with bigblockyeti. Too pricey for my taste but would look cool as an accent on a piece of furniture if you have a Texas theme going. I’m having a little trouble envisioning bright aluminum on any furniture though so you may end up wanting to paint them.

Hey, noticed the Texas nails are now selling at 1/4 of their original price: 48 in a box.

That seems more reasonable to me and I know they’re for decoration only but the thing that still seems deceptive to me is the contradictory details:
1) “Overview . . . . . Framing, Home improvement, Woodworking & carpentry”
2). ” . . . . . not for weight-bearing / construction use.”

Smells like this guy is affiliated with the seller.
